DROMORE YFC (THE BASE)

Dromore Youth for Christ, known as The Base first opened its doors in 1996. Over the years we have moved location a number of times, however still remain in the heart of the town just off the main Square. The organisation was born with a passion to encourage young people aged 10-18 years to experience God’s love, support them holistically and provide new and exciting opportunities to live life to their full potential. This is what underpins all of the work that we do and this is carried out in a number of settings. We are primarily centre-based with drop-in’s, personal development groups, mentoring and various projects. We also work in local schools primary and post-primary as well undertake detached outreach- wherever young people are choosing to socialise, we want to be engaging them where they are at. All of this is carried out in the community and in support of the community, in order to enable young people to have a place where they are welcomed, valued and supported.
